Memorial Day Camping 2015

Memorial Day weekend we went camping with the Walker side of our family for a few days up on the Rim. It was COLD! We camped at a new spot we have never been to before and it was the best for a pregnant mom with a 14 month old baby.! Why you might ask? Because there was a giant grass field for Paige to play in with the dogs and basically no one else around. 

I've come to the conclusion that nights/sleeping while camping are just always going to be awful when you have littles. The first night I slept maybe 3 hours and it was either in Paige's tiny pack n play with her or on a small bench in a trailer right next to her. Thankfully it was toasty warm in there! :) The first morning, Paige woke up at 4:45am. Yikes! We "tried" to sneak out of the trailer but there is no sneaking when you have a baby and 3 dogs (two of which are 7 month old energetic puppies) all trying to play. I spent the morning cuddling Paige by the fire and I must admit, I think that was my favorite part of the whole trip. If you know my child, you know she doesn't sit still... hardly ever! She must've sat on my lap for close to an hour and half then fell back asleep on me.

I think this was my favorite camping trip I've been on since being married to Colton. We went on little walks, played baseball and fetch with our dogs, watched Paige explore, rode the quads (which Paige was a HUGE fan of!), ate way too much junk food and delicious meals. 

Special thanks to my sister in law and her husband Pat for letting us sleep in their trailer and invade their personal camping space. I'm getting spoiled, I might never sleep in a tent again!

We bought this playhouse slide (for $30 I might add!) and I decided to move it in for the summer because it wasn't getting much action now that it's hot outside. Ummm... best decision ever! This little girl, who has never really napped longer than 2 hours, has taken five 3.5-hour naps in the last week. That's unheard of for her! She literally climbs up the slide and slides down at least 100 times a day. She loves it and I love the long naps!

Sometimes our chocolate lab puppy drives me nuts, but her and Paige are best friends! Lola sleeps outside Paige's door while she naps and runs to me and cries when she hears Paige waking up.

I think she thinks I'm growing her a personal pillow out of my belly. She loves to lay on sister and read in the mornings. And yes, my pants are fantastic!
