Paige's First Christmas - 2014

Christmas Eve

Colton had to work until 12:00pm so Paige and I woke up, stayed in our jammies, made her first christmas ornament and played all morning until Colton got home.
After he got home, we all started hanging up our pictures and decorations in our house (yeah, I know, about time right?) haha!
We then went to visit Colton's parents and give them our gifts and spend time with them.
After, we went over to my parent's house for their traditional "Christmas Eve Mexican Food"
Then we came home, gave Paige her Christmas jammies and read her a cute Christmas poem and put her to bed. Colton and I both passed out after that point and thus we are now led to... Christmas morning!

We made one for us and one for each of her grandparents.

She loved the Mexican food but loved "helping" put everything away after by getting out all the bowls for us more.

Christmas Day!

Colton and I woke up around 7, got ready and just sat out on the couch talking, laughing and having a relaxing morning while Paige slept in until 8:30am. We then had cinnamon rolls together.
Paige was a big fan!

Then we opened our stockings and gifts!

Since we just bought a house, Colton and I decided to do a "small" Christmas for each other. He still went above and beyond like he always does! I asked Colton not to get me any chocolate or candy in my stocking so instead "Santa" brought me beautiful red roses! Back to our "small" Christmas deal, so we weren't going to get each other much but Colton didn't follow the rules...

He bought me a chocolate lab puppy, which I have been wanting for YEARS, her name is Lola and she's 8 weeks old.

I've also been wanting to see Wicked SO bad for years! Like, I would have sold a kidney to go see it... that's a little dramatic but you get my point... well, Colton got us tickets and not just any tickets... we are going to be sitting in the 10th row!!!!!!!! Now, August 2015 needs to get here.

After we finished at our house, we headed over to my parent's to have Christmas with my side of the family and it was a blast! Even though it was cold, I spent almost all day outside with our 30+ relatives and kids giving buggy rides, playing tag, looking for chicken eggs, eating delicious food, swinging on the tree swing, etc.

My nieces LOVE Colton... and who could blame them? :)

I feel like they are silently communicating with each other through intense stares.

After we finished at my family's farm, we headed over to Colton's parent's house... they live 5 minutes from my parent's house so how convenient, right? There, we built "sleighs" out of candy and had races. Colton and I came in 3rd!

Then we had Colton's mom's famous spaghetti and opened gifts.

Paige LOVED it!

Christmas is a magical time of year and it's even more special with a kid. I am grateful to be blessed with wonderful parents, on my side and Colton's, and the best siblings around! This year we have a had a LOT of change in my little family... adding a sweet baby girl, Colton getting a new job and buying our first home but above all these, we have been blessed with lots of love and happiness in our home. I truly have the most incredible husband. Every day we laugh so hard we get an ab workout, we can talk for hours after Paige goes to sleep and never get tired of each other. I have much to be thankful for this Christmas season. I am especially grateful to my Heavenly Father who sent his Son to die for each of us so that I can be with my family for eternity. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
