August in a Nutshell.. and a whole bunch of pictures

August has been crazy for us with church/callings/etc.! But we sure love it. I got a new calling in church. I was a Mia Maid advisor and now I am the First Counselor in the Young Women Presidency. I still get to stay with the Mia Maids which I am extremely grateful for! I love those girls and the leaders I work with. We can't tell people enough how much we enjoy our ward and love our bishop. When we we looking into buying a house, the 2 things I prayed for months for was 1. A house in the ward we were supposed to be in and 2. a backyard with grass. We lucked out and got both! August I decided to hit the ground running with completing the Personal Progress Program. I'm very close to finishing for the second time, I completed it once as a Mia Maid (age 15) and now as a leader. I just need to finish the Book of Mormon and hit my one year serving in the calling which will be in January.

Paige started going to nursery at church. She loves it! She doesn't even look back when we drop her off. I'm secretly grateful she's done so well because with a new baby coming shortly, it would be hard to juggle her, the new baby, teaching and Colton's calling. It's the small miracles you realize are major blessings!

We've been trying to do more family dates that spoil our girl. They always leave me exhausted but they are so much fun! We've been having some of the best weekends around our house.

Colton hit his one year mark working for the City of Mesa. He has done so amazing there and loves his job and especially the people he works with. I'm very proud of all of his hard work!

Well here are a whole bunch of pictures for our August Adventures

Our chocolate lab puppy, Lola, sleeps in the weirdest positions haha!

I spy with my little eye, two little legs sticking out from under the hood of her car

She definitely loves pictures

The things you don't ever think you will have to teach your kids... we had to go over "chair and table safety" every day, multiple times a day.

Get ready for a story, and possibly a tad boring one but... I am the worst at drinking water so I bought myself one of those Contigo water bottles with the flippy straw (which I love by the way) and so did someone else... I ended up having to buy Paige her own because she was stealing mine all the time. Colton too! haha! This little girl can definitely pack the water away! She loves it.

Whenever I hear her happily yelling "DID IT!!!" (I did it) I cringe a little before going to find her because she's usually doing something dangerous that gives me a mini heart attack. Like dancing on the kitchen table, standing up on a computer desk or the bathroom sink.

Her favorite meal of the day

Dog pile

Summer swimming will be coming to an end here before I realize so we are soaking up all the sun while swimming and of course getting ice cream at her Noni and Poppy's house.

Excuse me miss, you have a little something there on your face :)

Saturday Family Swimming 8/8/2015

This girl LOVES music! When you ask her "play piano for me?" she will play and sing you songs.

Apparently the best foot rest in the house is my 8 month pregnant belly.

Can you tell who the dominate dog in our family is?

These two have such a cute little bond. I grew up always remembering having a lab around the house and it's been fun to give that to my little family too.

Throne of Books

8/11 the weather was PERFECT! Paige and I went to the park for an hour at 11:30a, it was sprinkling, breezy and 78 degrees. For August, it was like a Christmas miracle.

She makes friends now when she goes to park and it's one of the cutest things to watch.

She likes to have her after nap snack at our table like a big girl now

The look you get when you try to steal a snack from her

Saturday morning cartoons with dad :)

Entertaining at Church

8/16 - Paige went to her first hour of nursery while Colton and I both had to teach during the 3rd hour. She technically doesn't start for another 3 weeks but they told us we could bring her in early. I have been SO ready to take her for months now and to get to actually attend all the lessons until the moment came where she walked right in, didn't look back, and sat at the table. I got a little teary eyed. She did awesome! They said she just played with the kids and she only cried when all the other parents started coming to get their kids and we weren't there yet. Better make sure to be the first one there from now on ;)

She loves her cousin Rayliegh!

Taking a card to her Uncle Mark

Paige has started having her toys play "together". She will have them make noises and talks to them. It's probably one of the most adorable things to watch!

She is obsessed with the song "Glorious" by David Archuleta

Friday, August 21st, Colton, Paige and I went on a family date. We started by pre-registering at the hospital for the new baby (yikes!), then went to the Idea Museum in downtown Mesa then went and had lunch at Cafe Zupa's, which I highly recommend if you haven't been. Our days of family dates with just us 3 are very quickly coming to an end so it was fun to spoil our girl for the day. Now, let's see what we do to top it next weekend ;) So here are pictures from our date:

Eating the fake apple i'm sure a million other kids have licked... uh... haha!

Saturday, August 22nd celebrating Oliver's 1st birthday :)

She loves her books

She takes watching "Glorious" by David Archuleta very seriously

Family Home Evening activity 8/24... Making a snow globe in a jar

She was a huge fan

8/25/15 - After a rainy night, there was an awesome breeze so we decided to take advantage and go to the park when it wasn't a million degrees.

For some reason, this bridge makes her scared and it takes her like 5 minutes to walk across it

But she loves the big slide on the other side so she makes the journey across the bridge

My sister bought Paige this giant Care Bear because she's obsessed with Care Bears :)

We babysat my sister's weimaraner puppy, Loki, for a couple days and he got along great with Lola... and Paige. When he left, Paige cried for a few minutes and Lola was depressed and whimpered the whole day.

We curled our hair for church. Paige will be 18 months in a few days and I'm 2 weeks and 2 days away from my due date in this picture. Ready or not, she's about to come. Yikes!

She's been a HUGE momma's girl lately.

She LOVES music!

We can't wait to see what September brings us... one things for sure, it will be bringing us a new baby girl to add to our family.
