Jade's First Trip to Flagstaff

Friday, October 16th, I took the girls and headed up to see my sister in Flagstaff. I originally was going to go Saturday but Colton got sick and was going to be in bed all day so we decided to take off a day early. Bonus day for us! My sister and I don't get to see each other much lately because she has kids in school now.. which totally throws all my plans off all your parents with kids in school ;)... and  I have a calling in church that keeps my weekends and especially Sundays pretty busy... but we both were to the point where... as we say "we needed each other". haha!

Up in Flag, we just hung around her house letting the kids play outside a ton while we baked, talked and just relaxed. We would tag along with her to her in laws for Sunday dinner, Cole's school pick ups, and the playing at the park. It was my favorite trip to date! Paige and my sister's little guy just wanted to be outside playing in the water. Even though it was pretty chilly! That was the first time my sister's 2 older kids got to meet Jade. Her little girl was all about helping me which was nice having the extra hands to help being away from Colton that long.

So here are the pictures from our fun weekend getaway!

Driving Home, she barely made it out of their driveway before passing out

Snow in Munds Park on the way home

I raced home to stay ahead of this storm they said had golf ball sized hail.

My babies aren't used to cold weather so this one just wanted to snuggle and be warm the whole trip. So she slept with (on) me the whole night.

It rained every evening/night we were there but the morning were clear skies.

Their puppy Loki loved Jade!

See what I mean!?

The girls painting their nails.. or rather Paige painted 3 of her nails and was done.

She loves you so much it hurts sometimes... literally!

He snuggled me more than his mom that weekend.. I think I tricked him into thinking I was her ;)

September Pictures.. Now including our second addition! :)

We celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary on September 2nd. We decided "no gifts" this year. On the 1st, Colton got off work early, bought me flowers and surprised me at home. I got him a "Happy September 1st" present. Looks like we both enjoy breaking the rules ;)

Playing at the park

It's adorable to watch your kids make friends and socialize.

I'm pretty sure she splashed in every puddle

This girl knows how to enjoy snack time. Kicked back, relaxing.

She LOVES to go for rides in her baby doll's stroller

WICKED
Colton bought me tickets to Wicked back in November 2014 for Christmas... then I found out I was pregnant in January and due in September. My first thought was "Well, I better not have to miss Wicked!... and i didn't! I MADE IT! Friday, September 4th, Colton and I went and saw Wicked! We go to a play or two together every year (it's our fun little "different" date night tradition we started when dating) and we both have wanted to see Wicked for a very long time. It was/is phenomenal! If you haven't been, GO. Go now! We might have to name our baby Elphaba or Glinda ;)

This girl loves her puzzles

Sunday dinner at my parent's farm

Paige loves it outside!

Always putting things on her head to make people laugh

My mom got Paige this adorable elephant stepping stool and she is obsessed with it. One day while making dinner I hear her yelling "ELP!!!"(Help) I go in to find her booty stuck in the stool and she can't get out. So of course I had to take a picture before rescuing her. haha!

Playing the harmonica and helping dad water the yard

She's slightly obsessed with Care Bears (she will sing you the theme song if you ask)

Our last full day together, just Paige and I
Monday, September 14th
I went to bed the night before having every intention of going nowhere and doing absolutely nothing Monday. I was exhausted from having painful contractions since Friday and not sleeping more than 3 hours a night. But somehow, I woke up after sleeping just 2 hours and had a TON of energy! I made us a giant breakfast, we went to the park to play for an hour and a half then came home for a short nap. After her nap, Paige and I packed our lunch and headed to Colton's work to have lunch with dad. It was fun visiting him and he didn't stop smiling the whole time!  On the way home, I had to pee so bad but don't like having to stop with a toddler. It's a lot of work getting them in and out for a quick stop. I decided to stop at Chick Fil A so Paige could play, for the first time on a play place playground I might add, and get us a peach shake (If you haven't ever had one from there, go. go now!). She played for close to 2 hours and we split a treat. We got home and she took a 3.5 hour nap. I eventually had to wake her up to go meet Colton and his dad at Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Colton's boss' sister and her daughter's house burned down and Texas Roadhouse was donating 10% of all purchases to their family so of course we had to support them! After dinner, we came home and the three of us played together until bedtime. Little did we know, that would be the last time the 3 of us were together and things were "calm and normal" before little sister decided to start making her way here the next day.

9/14 park play

9/14 Chick Fil A

My Dancing with the Stars partner everyone :)

Sharing her Costco hot dog with me

Paige calls her "sissy" (sister)

When she's awake, she is almost always scowling and looking concerned haha

Milk drunk smiles

Meeting Rayleigh, Allyson and Oliver for the first time

Krazy Air 9/28 with our friends the Holmstroms! Yes, I jumped. Yes, it was fun, Yes I did a flip.

She loves bean and cheese burritos.. Hairstyle credit to dried beans

She's all about making her toys kiss each other lately.. I wonder where she learned that one from :)

Cut my hair short and went to lunch with my girl!

She's teething so she's constantly gnawing her fingers off

When all your baby wants to do is snuggle and hold your hand, you let them.

Paige is really big into telling people and dogs to "sit" haha!

Love her big eyes :)

3 days old at the park

A lady came up to me and asked "where did you get such a real life looking baby doll?" Oh, you have NO idea that comebacks I had for her question...

Paige loves the swings

Meeting Colton's dad, her Poppy, for the first time

Jade met her cousin Brand when she was only a few days old but still has yet to meet her cousins Cole and Ember

Her hands are constantly up by her face! It's precious.

We have LOVED the month of September. Mostly because we added the perfect little girl to our family! She really is a little dream baby. She sleeps 7 hours at night, eats and sleeps another 4. Paige had a couple of rough days being sick and teething the day after we brought Jade home but we all survived. She now loves her sister so much! We taught her to not touch or pick her up except she's allowed to tickle her feet so that's pretty much all she wants to do. I am so grateful for my girls! I can't  even explain how happy I am in my life. I have the best husband, beautiful, healthy girls,  and amazing family members and friends.
