Scottsdale Stay-cation

Colton and I just got back from our kid-free stay-cation in Scottsdale with my brother and his wife. We had a BLAST! It was our first time leaving Paige overnight. I am not going to lie, I was nervous about leaving her for months and months before we went. Everything could not have gone better! Yes, I missed my baby... a ton... but I did a lot better than I thought I would. Even Colton was surprised how well I did ;) She stay with my wonderful sister-in-law Tiffani and her family. If anything, I think Paige misses them right now more than she missed us while we were gone. Every picture I got she had a HUGE smile! I'm so grateful for family I can trust 100%. I never worried about her while we were gone. Which meant it was the most relaxing weekend I've had in a very long time! These are some of the pictures we got of her while we were gone:

With her cousin Noel :)

Loving on her Uncle Pat, or more like bonking his head and laughing

Here's our vacation activities and how our days went:

Friday, we checked into the hotel and went shopping for food (mostly junk and sweets) and picked up dinner. The rest of the night we just hung around, ate food, played games and watched a movie.

Saturday, we slept in!, watched t.v., got ready and went to see The Phantom of the Opera at Gammage. Phantom was phenomenal! I loved it. I bought those tickets for Colton last October! It was worth the wait. After the show, we went to a restaurant called The Arrogant Butcher, where I got the pork carnitas and Colton got a burger and it all was fantastic food! That night, we all went night swimming at the hotel and were the only ones there. Pretty awesome!

Sunday, we went to see Pitch Perfect 2 at the AMC on Mill and walked the streets and had lunch. We went back to the hotel, swam and hung out. I have been waiting to read a book by the pool all summer! That night, we all went to the Melting Pot for dessert then went on a gondola ride. That was our "romantic" date of the vacation. I recommend to everyone to go to the Hyatt in Scottsdale and take the gondola ride, it's $10.

Monday, in the morning my sister in law Sherese and I went to get hour long massages. Umm... if I didn't have you at "hour long massage" I don't know what else you need to realize it was the best decision of the trip. After, we treated the boys to pedicures (and naturally ourselves too haha), and they were really nice pedicures. We went swimming again and had a lazy day at the resort. We ordered chinese food to our room for dinner, played games, watched a movie and Sherese and I watched our show while the boys played their board game. That was our last night of the stay-cation and we definitely enjoyed just relaxing all day. Tuesday, slept in, were lazy, packed up and headed to pick up our baby! and basically our entire house, haha! I might have overpacked for Paige. When it takes two cars to get everything there and back, yeah. that's a good sign! haha! But we are all "moved back in" to our house now ;)

Being without Paige was really difficult at times but I'm so grateful Colton and I were able to get a kid-free trip in before this next little girl comes in just 3 months. We had a BLAST with my brother Cam and Sherese! We pretty much did everything together the whole trip and since we are all best friends, it was like being a trip with family and friends so double bonus.

Now it's back to real life...
